Taman Awam Miri

Taman Awam Miri is located about 3 km from the town center along the Airport Road. This 24.6-acre park is the latest public park in Miri and offers an opportunity to conquer your fear of walking on a suspension bridge. A large modern children play structure built here is extremely popular. There are flora gardens, souvenir center, canteen, an observatory platform, children's playground, stone carving, fountains, pavilions and jogging track


Miri heritange Centre

This is the Arts and Craft Centre of Miri and is houses in a historic building that was formerly the Miri Community Hall. The building history is colorful and many of the older generations in Miri would remember the numerous public events held here in the past for the town such as State dinners, wedding receptions, community social events etc.


Today the main hall is used for local handicrafts and an art gallery occupies one of the wings. There is a stage at one end of the main hall for cultural performances. A cafe is being planned for the remaining wing.


Miri Heritage Centre is located at the heart of town, offers a wide variety of quality local handicrafts. It is overflowing with the products of nimble fingers: beadwork, pottery, woodcarving, basketry, mat making, hat making and textile crafts.


Lian Hua San Temple

Fifteen minutes drive out from town center in a residential enclave Krokop is Lian Hua San (Lotus Hill) Temple. It was completed in 2000 and is one of the biggest Taoist temples in South East Asia. The unique building presents Chinese religious architecture and design and offers irresistible photo-taking opportunities. It houses three statues depicting the Taoist deities, Guan-di, Zhang-fei and Lui-bei. A stone's throw away is another Chinese temple built in honor of the Eight Immortals or Ba Xian found in Taoism.

IT Library

Pustaka Miri opened in 2002, is the regional library of Pustaka Negeri Sarawak. It caters for the information and research needs of the Miri community as well as the neighboring districts and towns of northern Sarawak. This center is linked to Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Kuching via Information Communication Technology(ICT) infrastructure and is an epitome of digital library that provides a combination of print as well as electronic and digital information resources.
